CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES' DEPARTMENT:
NURSERY DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the Nursery!Your child is special to us. It is our desire to care for them in a way that they will feel loved and safe and learn that the nursery is a fun place to be. At Good News, we consider the nursery a ministry to our littlest members and to their parents. We strive to have our nurseries be safe and clean and fun for the children that visit. Following you will find more information about our nursery rooms, staff, and procedures. It is our pleasure to provide this service to families. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Church Offices.
Mission Statement:
*
To provide a safe and clean environment for our little ones.
*
To lovingly care for our littlest members.
*
To enable parents to participate in worship and ministry.
Rooms
Good News Assembly has two rooms that divide the children by age groups. Both rooms are located on the main floor close to the Worship Center. Our baby nursery is beautifully decorated and has separate crib rooms. Our toddler nursery is bright and cheerful with its own restroom with a child-sized toilet and sink. Each room has a CD player, DVD/TV monitor, age-appropriate toys and equipment, and changing tables.
Staff
Our nursery is a cooperative program involving every parent as well as other loving attendants. We ask each parent to serve three times a quarter; this ensures a quality worker to child ratio enhancing the quality of this ministry.
Each volunteer must complete an application and undergo a background check.
Sick Children Policy
To maintain the health of each child while in our care, we cannot accept children into any of our nurseries who are sick. If your child becomes ill while in the nursery, you will be notified to come pick-up your child. If your child has a continually clear-runny nose or rash due to non-contagious allergies, please let us know.
Parent Notification
Good News Assembly has a call system located in the upper left hand corner of the Worship Center. If you are needed in the nursery, your child's number will be illuminated in red numbers in the call system box. Please respond to the nursery as soon as you see your child's number.
Sign-In Procedure
Each time you bring your child to the nursery, you will be asked to sign him or her in. Please indicate any special instructions on the form.
Children who are regular attendees have a permanent number. Visitors receive a visitor number and security tag. This tag must be returned for your child to be released out of the room. In the event you are needed in the nursery, your child's number will appear in the Worship Center.
The church provides age-appropriate snacks in the Toddler Nursery. In the Infant Nursery, we will be happy to feed your baby their bottle if needed. Please provide what you anticipate your child will need while in the nursery such as diapers, bottle, etc. Mark these with your child's name and give to the nursery worker. Please do not bring special toys from home. Please note: Our nursery staff cannot administer medication to your child.
Children should be picked-up within ten minutes after the end of the service.
Good News Nursery needs quality people to provide quality care. We consider the nursery a ministry to children and their parents. If you are interest in joining our team to minister God's love to our babies and toddlers, please contact the Nursery Coordinator. We would love to talk to you.
